This Status Report is presented as an interim report of CMT-06-01 Status Report Project. The
outline of the project was agreed at the 1st APP Cement Task Force (CTF) meeting in Berkeley,
US (April 2006). The CMT-06-01 project is a part of APP Cement Task Force Action Plan, which
was agreed at the 2nd CTF meeting in Xian, China (September 2006). The data presented in
this Interim Report were prepared by each country with APP Questionnaire distributed in July
2006 which lead partner countries to collect basic data and best practices in respective countries.
This report is a compilation of those data which had been submitted by August 31, 2007.
As to China, as there are a vast number of cement plants in the country, sample survey to the
extent possible has been conducted according to "Coverage of the Survey" stated in Cement
Task Force Action Plan CMT-06-01 targeted at several model areas which were selected by
China.
Based on this Interim Report, Managing Party (Japan) would facilitate further collaboration
with partner countries with a view to produce final report.
